The problem
An alumni community full of people using AI for real work, and the knowledge living in chat threads and memories. The Studio wanted it in one place, searchable, with the person behind each case visible.
The structure
Each case names the task, the tools and the contributor, and sits in one of eight categories. A stranger can read a case and reuse it the same afternoon; that was the bar.
Search and presentation
Fuzzy search across the whole library, filters, a spotlight rotation on the front page, and contributor profiles so the people get the credit.
Build
Astro for the site, React for the interactive parts, GSAP for the motion.
I design the product and make the technical calls — architecture, stack, interactions — then direct AI coding tools that build to my spec. I review and test everything that ships.
The numbers, dated
87 use cases from 15 contributors, referencing 94+ AI tools — as the live site reported on 4 September 2026. The library grows; the live page is the only source for the count.
Where it stands
Live and growing. I sit on the board of the Wharton Alumni AI Studio, an alumni nonprofit; this is a community project, not Wharton employment.
